Monday’s “Tonight Show” Was Filmed Entirely On A Smartphone

Monday night’s episode of Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show will mark a first for the long-running late-night series – it was shot entirely using a smartphone. Specifically, it was shot with the new Samsung Galaxy S10+, which boasts an ultra-wide camera lens.  As part of a promotional deal with Samsung, Monday’s episode was filmed entirely with the phone. It will also be very different from a typical Tonight Show episode, ditching the studio and following Fallon, The Roots, and announcer Steve Higgins to a number of different NYC locations.  MMA star Conor McGregor will also make an appearance. Does this seem like a fun ‘gimmick’ Tonight Show episode, or does it just come off as commercial stunt?  Do you still watch any of the late-night shows?
