PALM VALLEY SCHOOL HOSTS VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION
Coachella Valley School’s Annual Veterans Day Assembly Celebrates Our Heroes

Rancho Mirage, CA (November 10, 2017) – On Friday, November 10 at 9 am the Palm Valley School will host their annual Veterans Day Celebration. As one of the few local schools in session this day, the student body comes together each year to recognize our nation’s heroes through narrated story, sung tributes to the Armed Services by the K-12 choir, and honorable guest speakers.

Mayor Charles Townsend of the City of Rancho Mirage and County Supervisor V. Manuel Perez are among the prominent leaders expected to attend.

Capt. Justin P. Gray, a Marine Infantry Officer and current Palm Valley School parent with three deployments; two to Afghanistan and one to Australia and Palm Valley School’s fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Jennifer Withrow who served nine years in the United States Air Force and the Alaska Air National Guard are the honorable guest speakers at this public event.

Each year, Palm Valley School invites local veterans and members of the USO, VA and VFW to attend. This event has become a large part of Palm Valley School and our local community’s tradition.

Palm Valley School is an independent, non-profit, private school located in Rancho Mirage,
California dedicated to educating and challenging each student to achieve excellence and
contribute to our global society. Palm Valley School is a proud member of the National
Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the California Association of Independent
