Comedian star Marlon Wayans performs in the Spotlight Showroom on Saturday, April 7. Tickets are $45, $35 and $25 at spotlight29.com. The New York City native is the youngest and arguably most popular member of a comedy dynasty that also includes brothers/ frequent collaborators Keenan, Damon and Shawn.
Audiences first took notice of Marlon in the 1988 cult classic, “I’m Gonna Git You Sucka.” From 1992 to 1993 he appeared alongside several of his siblings on the FOX sketch comedy series, “In Loving Color.” From 1995 to 1999 he co-starred with Shawn in the aptly named WB sitcom, “The Wayans Bros.”
Marlon also boasts an impressive and diverse list of film credits, including “Above the Rim” (1994), “Don’t Be A Menace” (1996), Requiem for a Dream” (2000), “Scary Movie” (2000), “White Chicks” (2004), “The Ladykillers” (2004), “A Haunted House” (2013) and “Fifty Shades of Black” (2016).
