Across the pond, Ed Sheeran has been named the artist of the decade. Ed has had the most number ones on the singles and album chart from 2010 to 2019 with 12 number ones.  Sheeran spent 79 weeks atop the same charts with “Shape Of You” making it the biggest song of the decade. Sheeran’s breakout song spent 14 weeks at number one and sold over 4.5 million in sales.  “Thank you to everyone who’s supported me over the past 10 years, especially my amazing fans. Here’s to the next 10!” said Sheeran.  Following “Shape of You” as the top song of the decade, was Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” and coming in third, was Luis Fonsi’s 2017 hit, “Despacito.” What song do you think should be named the decade’s top song in the United States? Which artist should take the top spot?
