If the people want Dolly, they’ll get Dolly. After turning down a nomination for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last month, Dolly Parton says she’ll “accept gracefully” if she gets voted in. The country legend told NPR’s Morning Edition “I’ll accept it because the fans vote”. Parton said she turned down the nomination in March because she felt “I would be taking away from someone that maybe deserved it more than me”. Dolly is currently in fifth place in the Hall of Fame Fan Vote, which ends Friday. The 2022 inductees will be announced in May. Do you think Dolly belongs in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? Did you cast a fan ballot?
