Should wedding guests have to pay if they don’t show up? The answer is yes, according to a Chicago couple. Dedra and Doug Simmons have sparked online debate after a post of an invoice they created for eight no-show wedding guests went viral. The invoice, titled, “No Call, No Show Guest” explains in part, “Because you didn’t call or give us proper notice that you wouldn’t be in attendance, this amount is what you owe us for paying for your seat(s) in advance.” The amount owed was $240.
