Last night I had the opportunity to attend the 2nd year of the “Whole Foods Pre-Fest Beer Garden,” and I have to say, I had a great time. It was my first time hanging out on the patio at Whole Foods, and I was surprised at how much space they have out there, it really is a great location for an event like this.
If you weren’t aware, I LOVE craft beer, and I definitely got my fill last night (I may actually still be feeling the effects of said craft beer as I write this). Whole Foods has a great selection of craft beer and there were a number of breweries on site offering tastes of their latest and greatest. In addition, some of Whole Foods food vendors were there offering everything from grilled cheese sandwiches (made with whole grain breads sold at Whole Foods) to beef jerky to Mexican food. It was a great opportunity to try some of the unique items that Whole Foods carries, and try I did!
Pair that with live music from local acts Giselle Woo & The Night Owls and The Flusters along with Maui based Inna Vision and DJ Journee, and you have yourself a great kickoff to festival season here in the Coachella Valley.
I even got to meet a few MIX listeners at the event, which is always nice, especially when they tell me that they think my terrible jokes are funny.
