Desert Smash Brings Tennis & Hollywood Together in La Quinta

The 14th Annual Desert Smash, hosted by Serena Williams and Lisa Leslie, brought the worlds of TENNIS and HOLLYWOOD together at the beautiful La Quinta Resort & Spa benefiting The Yetunde Price Resource Center (YPRC), founded by Serena and her sister Venus. YRPC assists, educates and strengthens individuals and families affected by violence and trauma.

The new partnership with Tennis Channel, provided “LIVE” national television exposure for the first time in the exhibition’s history, as part of the network’s coverage of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

Hollywood celebrities, musicians, influencers and tennis stars walked the press line for interviews prior to hitting the courts and giving fans a once in a lifetime experience, which ended with a center court dance off, yes… DANCE OFF!

Once the sun set on the gorgeous backdrop of La Quinta, all participants continued to keep the DANCE party going at the Desert Smash After Party in the Fiesta Ballroom, which featured the sounds of DJ Bob Sinclair, Beats by Dre talent DJ Millie and Hundred Handed.
